Bay State Sniffers
Mock Trial: Sunday June 14
Modeled after half day NW1/NW2 - this is NOT a sanctioned event!
Location: St. Andrews School, Barrington, RI
It is not appropriate to contact or visit the event location prior to the event date, nor should training take place on event grounds once an event is approved/announced. Our locations are real life search environments where people work, go to school, etc. Pre-event contact or visits risk the host losing the opportunity to use the location again in the future.
Are you new to nose work competitions, or is your dog new to trialing?
If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you to see what it would be like to compete in a NACSW event! This event will be run like a half day NW1 and half day NW2 trial. This event is NOT official, so NO ribbons or titles will be awarded, but results will be posted after the trial.
Hides for both levels could be birch, anise, clove, or any combination of those oils.
Handlers can enter as many dogs as they like for each level, but we won't be giving spots to multiple dogs for the same handler unless there is room after each handler gets ONE dog in the mock trial. If more people sign up than we can accommodate, we will start a wait list for cancellations. Payment information and cancellation policy will be sent with confirmation.
Entry fees: Level 1: $90 Level 2: $100
Entries will open at 7am Friday May 15. Confirmation will be sent no later than May 30 - sooner if it fills quickly.
Like a real trial, I will need some volunteers to help things run smoothly! If you are running a dog in one of the levels, you are welcome to volunteer the other half of the day. Thank you!
